About
Evelyn Beatrice Bourne is a healer at heart. She is a Light Worker who is dedicated to encouraging others to witness the light of God in themselves and to tap into their inner power to heal. Steeped in a strong Christian upbringing which also included Catholic school and home school education, Evelyn was always curious about spirituality and the role God played in her life.
Raised by a mom who was involved in a cult-like organization from the time she was a child, she went on to become involved in another group with cult-like practices as an adult. After breaking away and feeling a bit lost for a while, she became curious about other faith traditions and explored Eastern religion and found New Thought and Metaphysics, which brought her back to Christianity. Evelyn studied Yoga and Qi Gong and Reiki, receiving level one and two attunements and she later learned EFT on her journey to better understanding how God’s healing power worked on a human level. Eventually, she de-converted from Christianity and began the journey of deconstructing her faith while she supports others doing the same.
One day while visiting her aunt, she found a copy of A Course in Miracles on her coffee table. When she picked it up and read those first few lines, while she did not understand the full import of the words, she had a deep knowing that this book would be pivotal in her life.
Through her study of The Course, she came to understand that the God she had been searching for outside of herself could be found within and adored her just as she was. The study of ACIM and other Metaphysical texts such as The Way of Mastery shed new light on her path. Through her study of The Science of Mind with the Centers for Spiritual Living, Evelyn has become a licensed Prayer Practitioner. She is now enrolled in seminary to become an ordained minister through the Inner Visions Institute for Spiritual Development.
Evelyn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature, she is a fine artist, a writer, a knitting teacher and she has three daughters. In 2020 she published her first book, I Am Heaven. She is currently developing programs to guide people on how to use prayer, meditation, and creativity to heal themselves from traumatic experiences, de-convert from religion, and find freedom, healing, peace, and abundance. She lives in Northern New Jersey with her dog, Queenie.
